When was the last time you settled for “Good Enough?”
Have you ever caught yourself coasting, knowing you had more to give but choosing to stay in your comfort zone? I've been there.
Years ago, I faced a crossroads moment that challenged everything I thought I knew about my potential. My team was building something new—a business model that had never been done before, at least not at the scale we were considering.
Late nights, pushing boundaries, constantly facing the unknown—we thought we'd arrived. But deep down, something felt incomplete.
"Good enough" had gotten us here, but it wouldn't take us further.
During my year in Jesse Itzler's private coaching group, he shared a story that changed my perspective.
He talked about Lance Armstrong, facing a brutal stretch in the Tour de France, completely spent. His coach, sensing the exhaustion, told him one thing over the radio: “Stay on the bike.” No matter what, keep going.
That message became a powerful reminder that in our toughest moments, we all have a choice to keep moving forward.
This realization demanded a systematic approach to excellence. I found it in the 3Ps Framework: Plans, Progress, Problems.
Each week became a deliberate step toward mastery by asking:
Plans: What am I committing to this week?
Progress: What did I accomplish, and how did it move me closer to my goals?
Problems: What obstacles did I face, and how can I turn them into opportunities?
This practice grounds you, keeps you honest, and reminds you that 'good enough' is just a rest stop on the journey.
Your challenge: Where have you caught yourself saying 'that's good enough' recently?
Choose one crucial area this week.
Apply the 3Ps Framework - start with a clear plan, measure your progress daily, and face your problems head-on.
Excellence isn't a destination; it's a daily choice.
What will you choose today?
